Self explanatory topic.
I'm reading book 1 in The Wheel of Time series by late Robert Jordan. It's called The Eye of the World. I haven't read much of it yet (less than 100 pages), but so far I like it. My main reading time is on train when I go to work and back, but since I've been getting up at 5:30am every day and don't leave work till around 4:30pm, I've been finding it hard to read on the way back lately - eyes too tired.
I'm glad the series are finish (even if not by Jordan), since I wouldn't like coming to middle of the story and then have to wait *cough*ASoIaF*cough*

I read the first few books and whilst I like them at first I found myself becoming bored with it all. I also had the displeasure of finding who could possibly be my most disliked character in a fantasy book: Nynaeve (sp?). That woman set my teeth on edge.

I have read that Martin. That particular trilogy was one of the first fantasy trilogies I ever read. I just finished book 11, The Gathering Storm, of the Wheel of Time series and am about the start book 12.

A Feast For Crows, volume 4 of A Song of Ice and Fire, by George Martin. *sighs* Not enough time for reading, or I would have finished and gone on to something else.

A Dance with Dragons is definitely the best choice to read after that one, Cori I'm almost up to the middle of The Eye of the World and I'm really enjoying it. Almost every chapter has some action in it. I'm still not in the phase where I want to read it even when I'm not on the train, but I'm getting there

I made a mistake. I'm actually reading book 13, not 12.

Pex, I may need a break before I start A Dance with Dragons. It all depends on who he kills off at the end of this one.

I just finished a book on Medieval Queens of England and so am now deciding what to move on to. Not sure whether to start that Steven Ericson series that Pex read or whether to go onto something completely different.
I also read a book called March by Geraldine Brooks. It's not fantasy, but was interesting. If any of you ever read or watched Little Women then you will recall that the father was absent for most of the book because he was off fighting in the civil war. Their last name was March and this book I just read was about him. As I said it was interesting, but I really didn't like him. I guess he was just a man of his times, but in my opinion she has made him appear a fool.

I'm now reading Rides A Dread Legion by Raymond E. Feist on my new Kindle Fire. My other pad developed a fault (lines across the screen that wouldn't go away) so I returned and upgraded to this little bad boy. I seem to have missed a few books though. I thought I was up to this one but I realised with the last chapter that I was wrong.

Not sure where I'm up to with Feist... Might be the very same book. I still haven't finished The Eye of the World. Far from that I don't enjoy it, it's just that I'm not reading so much on the train as I used to. I get very tired to read on my way home from work. Plus I have iPhone 5 to play with

Well I finally finished A Feast For Crows and moved on to Kim Harrison's Hollows series. I already finished Dead Witch Walking and am into The Good, The Bad and the Undead. This is a group of books I accidentally got into at about book 5 or 6. I picked it up at an airport and thought from the description that I had a first book. You know, it didn't say "In Rachel Morgan's further adventures fighting Inderlander crime and just plain trying to make her rent, ...". It actually took about 4 chapters of that book before I could say for sure that I'd missed a bunch. So now I get to start at the beginning. I do like it, especially the kind of character she is. She makes mistakes, but learns from them. She's a responsible and caring human being ... er, witch. And she's got a sense of humor. So Pex, you don't happen to have a new phone or something, do you?

Okay, so I'm rapidly getting into my Kindle. I'm finding that since I've had it I've started reading more than I have for a long time. Great for in bed at night and not having to worry about a light.
I'm currently reading some Miss Marple short stories by Agatha Christie.

Finished Robert Jordan's The Eye of the World and logically picked up The Great Hunt, to continue the story.
